Mary Ann Miller Amato is a skilled professional in the areas of nonprofit organizations, management, sales, event management, team building, and media relations. MaryAnn received her Bachelor of Science degree focused on business and public administration from Juniata College.  

Mary Ann worked in the automobile industry for over thirty years serving as an owner/operator of an automobile dealership and then as a general manager for two different dealerships.

Mary Ann embarked on her career in fundraising at Penn State University as an associate director of development for Penn State Outreach for Online and Continuing Education over thirteen years ago. She then moved to the Penn State University College of Health and Human Development as a director of major gifts where she secured several transformational seven-figure gifts, advancing both the For The Future campaign and A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence campaign. 

After achieving tremendous success in the fundraising industry, Mary Ann was named the Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Penn State Altoona where she has currently raised over $20,000,000 in her short three-year tenure to date.
